Right,,, im sick of it..... constant moaning from people of the crashes which we all fully well know are a problem.....
While the devs are working on a solution for things like that, i thought it'd be more constructive for us to keep a thread on how to minimise the disruption.....
I know these things are rather unpredictable,, but ive got into a way of playing that has significantly reduced my hard freezes/invalid probs..... simply put,,,, QUIT THE GAME AND RESTART AFTER EVERY 2 or 3 BATTLES
Yes I know it isnt ideal,,, but its an obvious thing to do,,, and it works! lets be honest-- a regular controlled restart is only a little bit of hassle... and FAR better than unplanned restarts (bit like family planning!)
I have never known troubles to happen in the first few matches, and regularly restarting has proven incredibly effective.... I'd say 99% of all games i play work properly now (and have done for the past week)..... no more power resets or anything,,, my PS3 is now humming away happily in the corner and no longer fearing the dreaded onslaught of the YLOD (NB as far as im aware there's no proof the crashes harm the ps3, its purely speculation and happens in other online ps3 games too)
As soon as i drift off into a smokey haze and forget to restart after every few games, it starts to mess up again
Please note, I am NOT saying this solves every problem, but it sure seems to stabilise it all
Has anyone else picked up any nifty tricks that allow you to circumnavigate any particular problems for the time being?? (oh,, and yes, we have all heard of skype lol)
Seems like grouping up significantly increase problems too |

Oh and it'd be interesting if anyone has examples of ways to fix it that are blatantly some form of Pavlovian response.... (ie scratching your left nipple 3 times before licking your nose always causes an invalid fit) |

yes i do this too haha.... soon as anything looks weird,, i'll be thinking about restarting....
